10. Other Privacy Notice

Nordlox Global have different Privacy Notices per jurisdiction because data privacy laws vary by country or region. Here’s why we do this and why the EU Privacy Policy is often the default:

  • Core Privacy Principles Overlap – Many privacy laws worldwide are based on similar principles, such as:
    • Transparency (informing users how data is collected and used)
    • User rights (access, correction, deletion of data)
    • Security (protecting personal data from breaches)
    • Lawful basis for processing (e.g., consent, contract necessity, legal obligation)
  • GDPR as a Baseline – The EU GDPR is one of the strictest data protection laws, so many companies use it as a default framework and adapt it slightly for other regions. This reduces complexity and ensures compliance with multiple regulations.
  • Streamlined Legal Approach – Having a single, consistent policy reduces legal risks and administrative costs. Instead of writing completely different policies for each country, companies create a broad policy that meets global standards, with minor jurisdictional tweaks.
  • User Experience & Trust – A unified privacy policy helps maintain clarity and consistency, making it easier for users to understand their rights, no matter where they are.
  • Similar Requirements Across Laws – While some differences exist (e.g., GDPR requires opt-in consent, while CCPA allows opt-out), most modern data privacy laws focus on data minimization, user control, and transparency, making it easier to have a common policy with jurisdiction-specific clauses when needed.

How It Works on Websites

  • The site detects user location and applies the relevant policy.
  • If a region-specific policy isn’t available, the EU Privacy Policy is used as the default to ensure compliance.
